My computer does not recognize my printer. HELP
I recently had to clear my hard drive. Now my computer can not see my Dell photo 924 printer. It is a wireless connection. It had been working perfectly. Thanks for any help.

By using the term clear, you mean you had to do a clean install?
If so, did you go to drivers and downloads and install the following drivers in this order?
Desktop System Software or Notebook System Software
Chipset or SMBus driver
Processor Driver (if applicable)
Video
Audio (sound)
Input Drivers (keyboard/mouse)
Modem
Network Card
After you install those drivers, restart your computer.
Disconnect your printer. Download and run this patch to completely remove the printer from your computer.
Restart your computer.
Download the proper drivers.
XP Drivers
Vista 32-bit Drivers
Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect your printer(powered on)

Rick,
I have tried this but I think these drivers are wrong. they have to do with the real player. I also used these from the dell sight and got the same result. Any ideas? Thanks.

I just tried all the links and they go to Dell's website.
If you think the links are wrong, then go to drivers and downloads
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen
choose by model, select printer, select printer select 924, then confirm.
Go to Vista 32-bit, select patch upgrade and use that program to remove your printer.
Restart your computer.
Now download the proper drivers you need from the same place.
Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect your printer.

I guess I did a bad job of describing the issue. Your links were the right ones according to the dell website. However, the website is wrong. The links are not for the printer drivers, they are for the real player. I used the links you sent me and went straight to the dell website as well. They both describe uninstalling and installing the real player. I am totally confused. Thanks.
