Yes, the web interface page. I can 'see' the printer through the web interface but it won't let me make the adjustments I need to correct the color balance.
For the 3100cn, once the web password has been set, you need to do a deep NVRAM reset to clear it.
Before doing anything, print a Printer Settings page so you know what your printer settings are, espcially page count. I might advise dating and saving this for possible future reference
Here's how to deep reset NVram for the 3000/3010/3100cn printers:
1. Pwr Off
2. Hold the Left + Right + Menu buttons while you Pwr-on (release them when display = DIAGNOSING...) 3. At the PASSWORD prompt, press UP, UP, [enter] (enter=center button)
4. Down button to INSTALLATION SET; [enter] 5. Down button to NVM Init; [enter] 6. OK?, [enter]
7. After completion message, Pwr off, wait 5 secs, then pwr on
After pwr on, the LCD displays "Init NVram" & "Initializing", then completes POST with "Diagnosing". After printer completes POST, the toner level indicators on the LCD may show empty. The printer will need to be Pwr'd Off/On once again to correct display.
The procedure for the 3110cn is nearly identical. Let me know if you have problems figuring it out.
All I can suggest is printing a settings page before doing the reset, date the page, and write on the page what you'll be doing. At least then, you'll have hardcopy info prior to the reset.
I have the same issue, however I have 3151cn. Does anyone know how to reset that password? I've tried everything just about, and I'm unable to reset it back to blank.

Assuming you really mean the 3115cn, the procedure is the same but with one minor variation.
After you enter this special mode, you will be prompted for Fax/Scanner Diag OR Printer Diag.
Press the Down button once to select Printer Diag, press enter, then follow the remaining instructions as given.
CAUTION !! If you have any address book settings, phone numbers, network settings saved..... these will be WIPED OUT after you perform this procedure. If there's anything you don't wish to lose, write it down first. Also, be very cautious if you decide to do any "exploration" while in this mode. There are some settings changes available which can mess up the machine pretty good.

Not really sure I understand your question, but if you are asking for the default username and password, it is:
UN: admin
PW: (blank)

Is there anyway to save this information?
I really would like to keep the historical info (page counts, etc).
Thanks for the much needed instructions

I don't really believe there is.
