Photo 964 win7 drivers issue

Question

Hey,

The thing is that I am trying to help my girlfriends dad to install his printer on his new pc (win7) but it seems to be hard somehow to make the vista drivers run on win7. I have been googling around for possible solutions to solve this very annoying issue with the drivers. I am sure there are a lot of solutions/work-arounds but I guess I look at the wrong place. I was actually reading:

But it didn't really work out for me. I would appreciate any help/answer I can get :)

Draethex,

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Start, control panel, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).
