Problems scan with All in one 966. dlcqcoms error.

I have also tried the solution about changing "Error warning" suggested to solve some scan problems. It did not worked at all.

The printer wastes a lot of time looking for applications in my computer when I push button to scan, but finally says that can not connect to get the list.

HELLOOOO, THERE IS SOMEONE FROM DELL OUT THERE?

 

Please, let me know how to fix this problem, or let me know how to return the printer.

1. Click on the start.
2. Type in "system" in the start search.
3. Click on the advanced system settings.
4. Click on settings button under the "Performance" section.
5. Click on the tab that says "Data Execution Prevention."
6. Check the box that says "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: "
7. Click on ADD
8. Browse to c:\program files\dell AIO printer 966\
9. Select the aioc.exe and choose add.
10. Similarily do so for device monitor and all other printer related executable files. (I will try to get more information about this and will post it when I have it)
11. Restart the computer. After doing so, you should be able to scan from the scanners and camera wizard, dell AIO center and also MS Paint.

I have followed the instructions and everything continues exactly the same:

1- Impossible to scan.

2- Error about dlcqcoms.exe continues every 10 minutes.

I do hate my Dell AIO966.  I cannot scan without everything freezing up.  I had the 966 on a Dell laptop and it crashed that after I installed the 966. Finally got that fixed but now I have a HP Pavilion and the 966 is still freezing up and sending the same error message.  And from what I have read no one can fix it.  I am getting another separate scanner tomorrw.  I have a lot of art work to scann and it takes me 1 hour to do two 5" x 7" pieces.  UGH
