The 962 works fine while to fax direclty from, however, when i want to generate a fax using the pc with the A-I-O program it wont send because its trying to use the modem from the pc instead of the the printer modem..

Hi rt1150r,
I see it has been over 12 hours since your post and no one has answered you. Sorry, but I can't help you technically but I can tell you where to get it if you need an answer today. Since your system is new.... call Dell support...I'd try software first...if they can't help you they'll route you to the department that can. They will be able to help you and even walk you through the process on the phone. Be prepared....the call will be routed to India so you will spend up to 1/2 hour on hold till they pick up...depends if you are lucky or not. Speaker phones are good to free you up. If you don't mind typing...try the chat route...you will still get India and maybe even have to hold there for a while to till they pick up......Good luck. :smileyvery-happy:

What is your current default fax driver for the All-In-One-Center? You can check this by doing the following:
1. Open the Dell All-In-One-Center
2. Underneath the 'Scan and Fax' area click on 'See More Scan Settings'
3. Click on the 'Advanced' button found under the 'Select Scan Quality' menu
4. Click on the 'Fax' button found towards the bottom of the menu
5. You should now be presented with a menu that says 'Please select a fax driver from the list below and click Continue'
6. Click the 'down' arrow and observe all entries in this list.
If you can, let me know what the default selection is, and what options you have to select from. There will probably be several to choose from. Thanks again for the extra info!

Sir 007 I did what you advised doing and it worked out perfectly, the only thing is that after faxing the document and cover page the printer prints out both pages. Is there any way of shutting that off so it doesn't print out everything you send??? Or maybe I am missing something, and that's a good thing to have it printing out the document and cover page.....
Thank You
Bill

For those of you following along at home, rt1150r found a resolution to his second problem and communicated it through PM. ;)
"Well i figured out how not to make the printer print out every fax you send...It was in the options I removed the check mark to disable the print out function...."
