Scanner "Cannot retrieve application list"
I have a AIO 948 Printer, and when I try to scan something to my computer it says "Downloading Applicaiton List". It sits there for about a minute and than eventually says "Cannot retrieve application list". Anybody know how to fix this?

Check your settings for...
Enable Bidirectional Support/Enable Biodirectional Support
Check your virus programs and firewalls for communications. You have to scan from the printer, wireless and from the computer with the USB connection.

I had the same problem with my Dell V310 printer and Rick's suggestion took care of the problem! Thank you!

Hey,
I had the same problem. My mistake was using the actual printer buttons to scan the document. Finally, I simply went to "My Computer" on the desktop. I double clicked the printer icon. In the lower right corner, I doubleclicked scan document. Then the import message popped up, I named the file, it scanned perfectly
!

Removing computers from printer scan list
It also corrects the communication problem.
