Scanning for application, and about applying the lexmark patch
Well it sort of work!
WARNING: I take no responsibility for any damages of any kind you suffering from altering your registry. If you are not sure then don't. You can seriously damage your computers operating system
With that nasty bit out of the way, lets continue
The patch works in such way that it allows us to peek what value we must add to our configuration.
You get it all in the registry as planned but it is not working quite yet!
You simply have to read in the registry what is written under the hkey local machine / software / lexmark
and then copy that binaryvalue to that the place where lexmark have put the portion in the registry
that applies to our printer but be aware that this is not under the dell root as expected.
Thats is why it doesnt work in the first time.
Do like this
navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lexmark\AIO Printer A940\AIO\
If you dont find the folders above, then create appropriate folders to match the above line
Right-click in the whitespace on the right
choose new
choose binaryvalue
type in excatly this name: AppListSize
and enter in a total of eight zero's
Those zeros is viewed in pairs afterwards
That's it.
Best Regards
