Is the text coming out pink or the paper?

I am having an issue with the magenta toner coming out in streaks on the paper whenever I print and haven't found a solution.

check inside the printer,  do you see an excessive amount of magenta toner inside the printer ?

the paper is pink. there is a mess of magenta (amongst other colours, but magenta is the most prevelent) inside the printer. I've cleaned it up, but it still spews everwhere.

call support, you're going to need a service call,   it sounds like a developer is leaking.  that or a bad imaging drum

this happens with both an old imaging drum, and a new one (the 'get new imaging drum' light was lit). We have a new fuser that should arrive later today or tommorow (that light was also lit), so if that doesn't solve it then we'll call support.

As a follow up, replacing the imaging drum ($30 from Dell) fixed the issue within 5 pages.
