spooler subsystem stopped working
I have a Dell inspiron 1526 hooked running vista Home Premium hooked up to a Canon MX310. When I try to print from some web pages i get the message spooler subsystem has stopped working. Haven't had any luck trying to find solutions on the Canon or Windows help sites. Any suggestions?

Janice,
How are you connecting the printer to your Computer? USB Cable, or wirelessly? Operating system is also helpful.

Janice,
Look in Control panel, system to see if you have Vista 32-bit or 64-bit system.
Disconnect the printer.
Un-install the printer.
Restart your computer.
Download the proper drivers for the PIXMA MX310 Printer. Select the proper operating system from the drop down list.
Go to device manager(right click my computer, left click properties, left click hardware, left click device manager)
Go to the USB Controller section and click the + sign.
Starting at the bottom, USB Root Hubs, and working your way to the top, USB Universal Controllers, un-install everything in that section.
Restart your computer. Windows will find everything again and correct the problem one. Please be patient. The new hardware wizard may work 3-5 minutes before it's done.
Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect your printer(powered on) Please use a 4ft USB Cable or smaller.

Uninstalled all the USB root hubs, should I continue uninstalling the :
standard open HCD USB host controller
standard serial bus controller

Try this...disconnect your printer USB cable from your computer. Open a command prompt...type 'net start spooler' (you will probably need to run your command prompt with administrative priviledges). Once you can start the spooling service, see if you can't open your print queue on your printer. If you can...delete any print jobs. Reconnect your printer and try again.
