spooling error message please help
when i try to print on my dell 942 all in one i get a message that says spoolersv.exe encounterd a problem. i reinstalled printer and driver and i still get the same message. when i did that and tried to print it didnt see printer and then i tried to add printer and it wouldn't let me. i think this started when i went to print a statement off the net and adobe popped up and asked if i wanted to do an update and i did and since then i have had this problem. maybe something is corrupted. please help thanks jms my computer is a dell desktop 4600

The spooler service is spoolsv, not spoolersv

I see. Now we know what caused it. If system restore won't work, well sfc /scannow might work. If not, Dimension 4600 shipped after July 16 ' 04 has a pcrestore capability. Might want to try another date for the system restore.
sfc /scannow = click START>RUN> then type sfc /scannow
If it asked for the winxp cd, just placed it in your cdrom drive.
PC Restore = at the DELL blue logo, hit CTRL F11. This will delete all your files and newly installed software though. It will bring your system back to its original factory settings. (back up your files first)
