Unable to install A960 printer -- setup/install not executing

Hi,

 Would like to know what exactly happens when you try to install.

When I attempt to install from the installation screen, I select Install and it briefly (less than 1 second) opens a new window as if it about to attempt to either setup an install shield or initiate a setup wizard.  I see what appears to be a progress bar within the window and then the window disappears and all processes associated with the installation stop.

I don't have experience with your particular printer, but here are my personal steps to trouble-free hardware installation:

• Set a Windows Restore Point
• Uninstall the current printer and any associated software from Control Panel
• Scan the registry for any lingering traces (I use RegistryFix, but you can use any quality registry tool if you have one)
• Clean-boot the machine (Start, Run, msconfig, deselect "Load startup programs")
• Install the new printer driver
