Using a 720 with a Printserver

I would like to print to my 720 printer via a USB print server.  The printer server as worked well with my HP printer, but I can't print to my Dell printer.  The computer shows the following error:  Communication not available.  The printer cannot communicate with the computer.
 
When I connect the printer directly to the PC everything works well, I would like to share the printer with everyone in the house, without having to leave a PC running.

Thank you for visiting the Dell Community Forum.
 
I don’t think that you will get the 720 to work with a USB print server as it requires a bi-directional USB connection to work and most USB print servers do not support this.
