V305 Printer causing disk-not-found messages
I'm running Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron with a Dell V305 Printer attached. When opening Google Chrome or Microsoft Outlook the following error message comes up:
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\harddisk6\DR12 (sometimes the numbers change).
The error message disappears if I switch the printer off. Any idea how to fix?
Sometimes the error message disappears after trying to close the error window about 20 times but with the printer left on.

alisonmcnaught,
Do you have Microsoft Word Speech and Handwriting Recognition activated?
Do you have a memory card in the printer?
You can also read this article.

alisonmcnaught,
Maybe something in Chrome is causing theis. Did you try contacting them? Printer worked before Chrome started giving this error message, correct?

Thanks for the reply. The answer to both questions is 'no'. The article doesn't seem to help. However, the conflict seems to be specific to Chrome (the Outlook relationship was a misunderstanding on my part ) - when I use Internet Explorer there is no error message.

alisonmcnaught,
Printer errors, connection problems are being caused by Chrome. Trying to sort these out.

Both Chrome and printer worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. Maybe a Chrome auto update has caused the conflict. I will try contacting Chrome.
