V305 printer ink problems
Hello,
For the past few months, my black ink cartridge has been running out of ink way too quickly. I have printed maybe 20 pages on a new cartridge and the pages are faint and streaky. Is there any way to fix this? I shouldn't have to buy a new ink cartridge once every few weeks when I am not printing out a large volume of pages.
Thanks.

kcirish34,
Are you using Dell Series 9 High capacity in cartridges, generics or refilled cartridges?

kcirish34,
The Dell Series 9 High Capacity cartridges will last longer.

Sorry for the delayed response. I do use the high nine series. Hasn't made a difference. Could there be a problem with the printer itself?

kcirish34,
I would check the printers preferences and see what your settings are. I have been using Automatic for print quality and use all available ink, unless I'm low on an ink cartridge.
Start, control panel, devices and printers, click on your printer, printer preferences. Click on Advanced, more options and make sure complete-a-print boxes are not checked.
