V305 will not print w/no error messages
I recently purchased a new Dell V305 Printer. It will not print anything other than a cartridge cleaning and aligning page but will not do a test page. The Dell 'customer service' team went through the steps of uninstalling and reinstalling the print driver. This did not work. I was then instructed to call the laptop section and have them dump and then reinstall my operating system (for 50 dollers of course).
My question is why do this? Will this redo the registery? If I purchase Vista new and install it, would that be the same as uninstalling and reinstalling my current Xp Home Edition where the printing capability is concerned? I should add that there are no error messeges. This failure to print is in all programs. The machine will scan images into my computer. The printer can make copies, but not via the computer. Any ideas?

Disconnect your printer.
Un-install your printer.
Restart your computer.
Download the proper drivers.
XP Drivers
Vista 32-bit Drivers
All other drivers
Go to device manager(right click my computer, left click properties, left click hardware, left click device manager)
Go to the USB Controller section and click the + sign.
Starting at the bottom, USB Root Hubs, and working your way to the top, USB Universal Controllers, un-install everything in that section.
Restart your computer. Windows will find everything again and correct the problem one. Please be patient. The new hardware wizard may work 3-5 minutes before it's done.
Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect your printer(powered on)
Please remember to install the latest firmware for the V305 printer.

I tried all of the steps and it is still doing the same thing. Thank you for your assistance thus far. That, I would like to say first.
The printer did print when I brought it to my dad's house and hooked it up to his laptop and installed the software via the installation disk. All other printers that I have used before has never given me a bit of trouble.

Maybe this will help, even if you don't have the wireless card.
How Do I Connect a Dell™ Wireless Printer to a Wireless Network
Choose your printer. Beneath your printer, select your operating system. You'll be redirected to another page. Then click on show all steps. It will walk you through the installation process.
