V313W not communicating with computer

I cannot print whether in Network or USB.  A window appears indicating that the printer cannot communicate with my computer (Dell Latitude E5510)  I have accessed the power options and changed from max to aux power as suggested to another subscriber and cannot find a simple solution....  Please tell me there is a simple solution...lol.  Thank you.....

DCinMI,

Was the printer connected to your network before?

Dell Latitude E5510, what operating system? 32-bit or 64-bit. Did you install the opertaing system or was the operating system installed on the computer?

What virus program and firewall are you using?

Hi Rick,  Thank you for responding.   I am not real strong on PC's but I do know my system is a 64 bit system.  I don't recall when it was originally installed but last summer, I had my computer in for repair and I store little faith in the quality of the work.

The wireless connection between the computer and the printer has always been intermittent and now it just doesn't communicate at all. Same with the USB cable...which is very strange.

I use Mozilla Firefox, AVG anti-virus

On someone else's recommendation, I have uninstalled all of the drivers for the V313W printer and am going to install the latest drivers and see what happens....

Thank you.

DCinMI,

Keep us posted on the progress.

If you Can you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and REGISTERED OWNER and post the information back here, it will provide the information we need to help you.

What color is the WiFi light on the printer, when you power it on and wait about 60 seconds? Orange or green?
