keithstoddard,

I saw the other post, the WiFi light is green.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job(s) from the queue.

Make sure the printer is not usb cable connected.

Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, Your Dell Printer, uninstall.

Restart the computer.

Make sure the printer was removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

With the computer online, insert the Dell Printer disk, choose aditional computer, network and follow the instructions.

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications. If you did not install a virus program, then Windows Defender is the default virus program. Try reading....

Allow Printer past Microsoft Essentials/Windows Defender

If you have a desktop computer, since the desktop is connected to the wireless router with the ethernet cable, click on aditional computer, network and follow the instructions. No USB Cable is needed to print to the wireless printer.

I had the same problem. Look for the full printer manual. Find the section on static IP. The quick guide does not give you all the steps for a wireless connection. You will have go into the printer Advanced Settings where you can provide router information and network information. You can do a google search for static IP address for printers. HP and Samsung have videos that demonstrate how to assign a static IP to a printer. I was unable to find a Dell video.

danny-jones,

If you know the current IP address of your printer, enter this in the address bar. You should see...

Click on configuration, you'll see...

Click on TCP/IP and then click on set static IP address and you'll see...

Enter the static IP address you want and then submit.
