windows XP loading problem with 926 printer

Question

I have a Dimension 4550 with a 926 printer connected through USB. When the loading phase hits the black screen after the initial Dell loading screen, the loading stalls until I disconnected the USB plug from the printer, after I do this, windows installation proceed as usual. I re-connect the printer USB plug and the printer operates fine. I've tried all the usual steps of uninstalling and reloading driver, switching cables and USB ports,etc. I could really use some help on this ?

Thanks but I was unable to remove the USB from bios. I tried to disable and delete and both failed to have any affect. There was no check mark next to USB entry to disable, Anything else I can try ?
