Wireless Adapter for 2130cn Color Laser Printer

After wasting the better part of a day without success, I think I understand why this useless accessory is no longer offered in the "customize" list.

Has anyone managed to make a wireless connection with this lashup? We had no luck following the various instructions, both online and printed, for most of a day, even though our wireless access point is less than 20 feet from the printer location. We finally had to resort to running a CAT-5 cable directly to the printer.
