Adding a video capture card

I did not purchase a capture card with my Dell. I am purchasing one now and I am concerned about how I will be able to have Dell Media Experience recognize that I now have a capture card and set it up to record tv shows from my cable tv in on the capture card. Is there an update for DMX that I have to download? Or will it automatically recognize my capture card and place a button on the DMX home screen for My TV??

It would help to know which capture card you went with. ATI's software is far superior to the DMX, as is their remote, so if you have a ATI TV Wonder or All In Wonder card, just ditch the DMX and use the ATI MMC. The DMX will not only not recognize your new tv tuner, it will automatically store every sound file it finds on your entire computer including wav files from programs such as Microsoft Money. The reason for this is they did not give you the option to choose which folders to scan for media, it's an all-or-nothing deal. The DMX remote is infrared rather than radio, so you have to point the remote at the reciever with a clear line of sight. With ATI's radio remote, you just have to be within an acceptable range.
