Angel TV Tuner problems

Question

Recently, in Media Center when I try to watch Live TV the picture comes up for a second or two and then goes black but I can still here the sound. Also when I press play on the remote the picture come back up but then goes away when the mouse is moved. I already installed the new driver for this card (Angel PCI 2.28). Here is what I have: Dimension 8400 Windows Media Center 2005 3.2ghz Pentium 4 1 gig RAM Emuzed Angel MPEG Dual TV Tuner ATI Radeon x300 SE I know this could be a hardware issue because after this problem occurred I had to format the hdd and reinstall windows from scratch and I still get this issue. I already contacted customer service and they gave me the run around. Does any one have any answers? Please...? Mike

I had the same issue with my new Dimension XPS Gen 4, I downloaded a new driver for the Emuzed dual tuner, the driver is dated 2/24/2005 Driver version 1.0.2.34. I think the 2.28 was the one I had before and with that I was getting the same problem you have...

With the new driver it never happened, the picture is better and brighter too...

There was a link in another forum entry the file is called AngelPCI_2.34_WHQL.zip .

Not sure why Dell does not have the new one yet, they should since the one they send out with the new PCs is having the problems...

http://www.lumanate.com/angel.htm   There is also 1.0.2.35, but is is still a beta...  2.34 is the latest release. Why doesn't dell support have it ?  Maybe they like leaving their customers with problems :)

I just checked again tonight, and the latest 2.34 driver is also available to download from DELL. TVT3_A03.EXE, go to downloads for video... You may fix your problem.
