Code Key for Office 2003

Question

I was having extreme virus issues so I backed up files and scrubbed my hard drive but I didn't think to get the key code for office. I have the disc but I can't find any paper work to go with it. I have proof that I purchased the program on my build sheet. How can I get a key to reload it onto my computer?Any help on this issue will be deeply appreciated. Thanks frknight1

From other posts about this, you are out of luck.  You will have to buy a new copy with the product key if you can't find yours.  Dell does not keep records of product keys.  You can call Microsoft and if it was registered with Microsoft there is a long shot that they will have some record of it.  Other than that you are looking at buying a new copy.  Since Office 2003 has been replaced by Office 2007 you MAY be able to find a legal copy somewhere that is discounted.

Hello, I went to the Microsoft support page and emailed the tech support. They sent me the number for a technician, I called that number and was told I need to talk to customer service. I was given the number for CS and I called them and told them what happened so they gave me a new activation code. It was that simple. Maybe it was just my lucky day. Thanks Floyd

Sorry I don't have the number. I got it from the MS web site online chat. They shoul be able to give it to you. I didn't need anything they just gave me the code. Good Luck
