Compile Error in Hidden Module: AutoExec starting Word 2002 in Office XP

When I start and exit Microsoft word I recieve the following error message

Compile Error in Hidden Module: AutoExec

It's identical to the problem mention at this link

http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=sw_office97&message.id=625

I've tried the run "winword /a" solution and Word does start normally but then when I restart it the error message resurfaces.

I am running Windows XP

Thank you

This may help.

I found all the Normal.dot file and changed them to normal.old.

It had no effect.

Unfortunately I do not seem to have a Gmlink.dot file on my computer, though I am running Norton Antivirus

That seems to have done it (moving the adobe programs and disabling norton) Thank you very much for your help

Try MS article 307410 covering disabling the Norton AV Office Plug-in.
