Complaint about Tech support, activate Office

Ordered a XPS Tower with Office Home and Student and software was not activated. Called tech support to get my office activated and was told the only way for them to give me what I paid for was for them to remotely access my computer. After i told them I am not comfortable with them remotely accessing my computer, they hung up on me. Is there another way for me to get what I paid for with out somebody having access to my computer?

I can't really help with your "Dell Tech Support problems". And just so you know, that group does not read/post here. If you have a problem with them, I suggest you talk to them directly about it.

It can be a bit tricky redeeming those pre-installed OEM Microsoft Office licenses (if even on there at all). Also, I think you must do it before you do any kinds of full-wipes or Recovery installs.

From my notes:

Finding, Installing, and Activating the Dell-purchased Office-2016 licenses was a little weird (requires a Microsoft Account).
