DBR how to resolve "Continuous data protection: an error occurred during the backup"
Every few minutes I'm getting a notification message "Continuous data protection: an error occurred during the backup" and it's being written to the Dell Backup and Recovery Activity Log.
This is a really badly designed message, giving no clue as to the nature of the error, or any details.
I've checked Dell and Windows event logs and nothing is being written there as far as I can tell.
This is annoying in three ways - the implication that something has gone wrong so my backups aren't reliable, the lack of any information to allow me to diagnose and fix the issue, and the very bad application design.
Having paid for the software I expect better than this.
How do I diagnose and resolve the problem?
I'm running Dell Backup and Recovery Premium 1.75.64 on an XPS-8500 Windows 7.
All of my software is up to date.

Hi Jim,
I'm on the development team. Can you tell me if you are using CDP with cloud or local backup? If local, what location and media are you using (internal, external, USB, etc)? Are you out of space on the backup location? You are right, the error messages are not optimal. As the Quality Engineer, I am very focussed on fixing this in the next release.
Thanks,

I've been having the same problem for about a year or so. I use both backup methods and am on a Win8.1 machine.

Dell has not fixed this issue. My Dell has the same problem. Message pops up every minute.
My setup is saving data to local USB HD (WD MyBook) with Win 8.1.
It say the source is unavailable yet I open Windows Explorer and see the USB drive, and can open it with no problem.
Extremely frustrating because my Dell 27 fails often. I am so tired of reloading all my apps again and again. My data is not safe on this PC and this software is broke.
