Dell Inspiron 5559 HDD replacement and Recovery issue

I have replaced my HDD on Inspiron 5559, created recovery USB drive. I don't want to take any backup of user data. The Dell recovery software is not continuing without backup of user data. How do I force the recovery...

Do yourself a true favor and accept a 500GB SSD rather than a 1TB HD! the worth should be within the same range, but the perceived performance boost are going to be unbelievable. Many SSD drives accompany a tool to assist do the migration.

Otherwise generally what you would like to try to to is use an "image copy backup" tool that makes a bootable USB drive. you create a picture copy backup of your current setup to your external USB HD. Install the replacement drive, then boot using teh Bootable USB you created for the backup tool and restore the image from the backup to newly installed drive
