I've tried 3 versions of Dell Support Center since 2007 (each by different software vendors) and confess I've uninstalled and/or disabled each and every one (other than tinkering with it to answer questions here on the forum).   Each version was either buggy, bloated, or a "one size fits nobody" kind of program.

IMHO all these versions have been Dell's way of trying to automate common support problems and therefore reduce costly support calls.   Unless you really like some other feature of the program, you simply don't need it - just uninstall it.

There's another option, though - for notification of new updates,   try Dell's Technical Update subscriptions instead.

I'll try the subscription and see how things go. Thanks.
