DMX 3.0 Reinstall

Question

A couple of days after the system arrived, the Dell Media Experience wouldn't load properly, kept requesting installation discs. I eventually had to uninstall then reinstall the program, but the back up discs supplied only has version 2 instead of the version 3 which was originally preinstalled on the hard drive. I have spoken to Dell UK many times, been kept waiting for long periods of time and have been transferred to 4 different departments all saying I need to speak to the people that I had previously been talking to!! I'm very unhappy about the situation, as all I want to do is install DMX 3.0 which I originally had. I think I need a cd part number U8032. Could you please help? ooo, nearly forgot to mention... Dell doesn't recognise my service tag either, so I can't get through to 'Online Help'!!!

Moriarty_300, Dell don't have a CD for 3.0 Basic. I'm in the same boat, they will only ship 2.1 I'd be interested to know if you get a better response.

Moriarty_300, Your invoice shows the system shipped with, '640-10415 DELL MEDIA EXPERIENCE 3.0 BASIC'.

Thanks Chris, but I'm still confused... is '640-10415 DELL MEDIA EXPERIENCE 3.0 BASIC'.  a good or a bad sign? All I know is that only only have version on my XPS at the moment. Is basic only a trial version, if so, my trial lasted less than 24 hours!
