Down loading Office home and Student 2007

I just purchased microsoft office home&student, 2007.  I'm not very computer friendly, but I think my system requirements are not compatible.  Here are my 'numbers'...on my computer...Intel Celeron D Processor 325 ( 2.53 GHz, 533 FSB)
memory:  256MB DDR SDRAM at 400MHz
video cards:  Integrated Intel GMA 900
Hard Drive:   40GB Ultra ATA/100 7200RPM
Floppy Drive:  NO floppy drive included
Genuine Windows XP Home Edition

Can you tell from the info above if I need to take my computer in to get 'more memory'?  I think I need to have my hard drive 'cleaned up' anyway, so what do I need to do to be able to use this new software? ...(that I haven't even opened, yet)  Thank you so very much for any feedback.

You'll need to increase your RAM, as 256 MB is too small for most new software. (I'm surprised you're Windows XP is running - probably very slowly)

Also, is the Student and Teacher on a DVD? If so, you'll need to make sure you have a DVD-ROM drive.

Thank you very much, Allan.
I'll be taking my computer in today.
