Email links won't work within browser
Hi all,
My PC has developed a problem sometime in the last couple of weeks. When
using my browser if I come across an email link and click on it, I get the
error message that the "...default mail client is not properly installed".
If I click on a web link there is no problem.
This happens with both IE and Firefox.
I tried re-installing Outlook and Word from the Office CD, (Office 2003) but that didn't
help. I'm using IE v7 and Mozilla V2.0.0.14. No trouble with regular email
which uses Word as the default program. Outlook is the default in IE 7 program options. Can't find that same option in Firefox, but it used to work.
Any ideas?

Try Start, run then type
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
and click OK
If this doesn't fix it...
Try selecting Hotmail Or Widows Live Mail as your default, then click on a mailto: link. Change back to Outlook and see if this fixes the problem.
