You mean to say that windows 7 currently does not support Face recognition? I already said that it works fine on Windows vista and I donot have any issues with it.
I am facing problem when I installed windows 7. Let me know if you have any suggestion how to make it work on windows 7.
Not to worry...in this case the Dell tech support rep that you spoke with is simply wrong. FastAccess (the facial recognition program...it's not a driver) has full Win7 support with version 2.4.7
Dell has informed us that if you are upgrading to Win7 with the DVDs that they provided that you'll need to run the 2nd DVD - the "Dell Upgrade Assistant", or DUA - first (i.e. BEFORE you upgrade to Win7). This will de-install FastAccess from Vista, but save it in such a way that it will be put back automatically when the Win7 upgrade is complete.
If this does not or did not work, then the other poster is correct. You should still be able to use the backup FastAccess installation CD that came with your Vista laptop to install under Win7. It may not work right away, but by going to the Windows menu > All Programs > FastAccess facial recognition > "Check for updates", you can still use the built-in update mechanism to move to 2.4.7.
If you did not receive a backup installation CD from Dell (and some people did not), then call Dell tech support to request one. They've become better about supplying them to those who request it.

nmweb,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
You can install the Vista version and then perform the Dell updates.

I hope this helps.
