Having more than one version Excel loaded on my laptop

Currently, I have MS Office 2007 loaded on my Studio laptop. I am interested in also loading onto the laptop my previous version (2003), in order to become more familiar with the format of Excel 2003. (This is for a potential job, where they use that earlier version, and I want to hit the ground running if hired.)

Therefore, can someone please tell me if it's possible to load that earlier ver of Office 2003 (in addition to my current version). OR, ideally, if it's possible to just load Excel 2003 from the MS Office 2003 Suite disc?

I appreciate your answers to this newbie's question.

Yes, you can have more than one flavor of Office on your computer.

However, you will need to uninstall Office 2007.

Then install Excel 2003 from the Office 2003 disk using the custom install menu. After it loads, you can reinstall Office 2007. Microsoft has a KB article about having different version on the same computer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928091

This assumes that the version of Office 2003 has a license that is transferrable.

Thanks for the reply, though that sounds like more trouble than it's worth (to me). I'd then have to reconfigure Outlook to coordinate with me e-mail provider ... and maybe a few other things I haven't thought of yet.

But, anyway, I do appreciate the reply.

Regards,

Steve
