Slperez1021,

Go to Start|Control Panel|Add or Remove Programs. Click the "Change" button under Microsoft Office and when displayed, select the option to repair the installation.

Office is not downloadable except for some trial versions...  What EXACTLY did you do?  Be specific.

I downloaded a 60 day trial version until I can buy the software and I am getting the message stated previously.

Slperez1021,

It seems unlikely that you will fit the scenario but see if this helps.

I went the Microsoft and downloaded SP2 which fixed the problem of my office situation but it totally fubared my computer.  My Network disappeared and external harddrive went bye bye aswell.

Students can often buy a full version of Office from their schools for very low prices, my son got his for $44.95.  If not, Office 2003 for Students and Teachers goes for around $125.

Reboot and pick Last Known Good Configuration.  If it works, then I would uninstall the Office download, stabilize my system, and buy a copy.

Also, setting System Restore points prior to installations, and backing up criticial items, is a good way to go in the future.
