How do I get rid of Microsoft Office's Eula?
Recently I had occasion to reinstall Microsoft Office 2003 under Windows Vista. It works fine, except that every time I start Word or Excel or, I suppose, any other Office program I must Accept its Eula before I can proceed. If I ask to activate the program I'm assured that it has already been activated. How can I get the program to open without showing the Eula and requiring me to accept it?

Hi drwics,
Thanks for the post! Check out the following Microsoft forum thread on this same topic: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-performance/microsoft-eula-keeps-popping-up-for-accept-or/a99d04b7-a2b1-4bfe-9225-deefeb237a28
A.User provided a solution here that looks to have helped others in the same situation.
Office EULA repeating:
Try this 1st:
Go to control Panel > User Accounts > Turn User Account Control Off.
Restart your Computer > open any Office Program > accept the EULA Licence Agreement.
Open an Office Program again > if EULA does not show up > User Accounts >
Turn User Account Control back ON > open the Office Program.
For more troubleshooting advice and information on this topic a Microsoft knowledge base guide was created, check out the following link: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=884202
Thanks,
drwics

Thanks, Shawn B. The user-provided solution that you quoted didn't work for me, but the Knowledgebase article did the job: not its first solution but the workaround that involved modifying the registry. Thanks again.
