How to copy Example from Excel Help?

I am going through Microsoft Excell Help (to search for information on how to create conditional formula).
The following is what I found under this help topic.  I am trying to copy the "EXAMPLE" as suggested below.  As indicated in Item 2 from "How to copy an example", I need to "Select an example from Help".  The problem I have is where to find the example in "Help" so I can copy to a blank worksheet.  You would think that Microsolf should link the example directly to the specific topics, so you can compare your excercise result from the example with the published result indicated below.
Am I missing something here?
I am unable to pratice on any excercise unitl I can locate the "example" in the Help Topic.

Please help!
P.s.  Any suggestion on where I can find the answer to this very simple problem quickly?  Since I purchased a Dell computer with Microsoft Office pre-loaded, Microsoft does not provide this type of support.  And I can't wait another 24hrs for Dell Support to address this item.

Thank You,

Stephanie
Create a conditional formula that results in a logical value (TRUE or FALSE)

To do this task, use the AND, OR, and NOT functions, and operators (operator: A sign or symbol that specifies the type of calculation to perform within an expression. There are mathematical, comparison, logical, and reference operators.).

Example

The example may be easier to understand if you copy it to a blank worksheet.

HideHow to copy an example

  1. Create a blank workbook or worksheet.
  2. Select the example in the Help topic.

Note  Do not select the row or column headers.

You could probably just use the IF function.(I've shown the formulas for column E in column F. If this isn't what you want, let me know.

IF(logical_test,value_if_true,value_if_false)

Hi Allan,
I am not looking for help with trying to understand the example.  I am, however, trying to locate the "Example" so I can copy it to a blank worksheet to pratice.  Please refer to my original posting for the specific "example" from Help that I was directed to copy.
I am trying to copy the "Example" from specific Help topic, but I am having trouble with " How to copy an example" ( see Items 1 and 2 at the bottom of my original message below).  I can follow Item 1, which is: "Create a blank workbook or worksheet".  But I am stuck with Item 2, which is: "Select the example in the Help topic". Where is this example located?  I am assuming that each example is tailored for a specific help topic (that  indicates the same result shown on that help topic).
The item red bold below (that I copied from Help) is what I am having trouble with.

This appears to be a very simple task, but I can't move forward with the tutorial until I find the answer to this problem.  Thank you for your help.  Stephanie

Sorry about that. What you want to do is show the help screen

Then just select this area in the red rectangle (No A, B, 1, 2,3) and press CTRL-C to copy the selection. (Hold your left mouse button down and drag to the lower right hand corner)

Close the Help window and choose CTRL-V to paste into the worksheet.

Is this what you're looking for?

Thank you, Allan.  You've answered my question.  I didn't realize that the "example" that I was looking for is right on the same page.  When I saw "selecting an example from Help", I thought it was located somewhere in Help -not realizing that it's right below.
I am so glad that I have the answer, so I can move forward with the tutorial this weekend.

Many thanks, and have a wonderful weekend.
