How to stop Quickset from loading at startup?
Hi,
Just a minor irritation. I have a Vostro 1400 with Quickset v8.3.17. Strangely, if Quickset loads at startup it (the Fn keys) doesn't work. However, if I load Quickset after boot up, it works fine!
My work-around is to close and restart Quickset, but how can I permanently prevent it from starting at boot up?
It is not in the Startup folder. I have edited msconfig, but as soon as I launch Quickset, it puts itself back in the startup tab of msconfig!
I can't find any way to stop it - short of uninstalling - but I like the Fn-f10 hotkey to open the CD drive (that's all I use Quickset for).
Alternatively, is there a freeware program to eject the CD drive that anyone can recommend?
Cheers,
BK

Thanks. I looked at that, but decided on Hotkey Helper (http://www.tucows.com/preview/352676).
It's working, but I would like to find a real solution - just because!!!
Cheers,
