first of all you have to change the windows language settings from e.g. german or swedish to english (settings are shown in the taskbar, lower right corner. For german there's a DE, english is EN). After the change to english fill out the register form and then change the settings back to your native language.
the keyboard layout in english is different to the german layout. To get the @, you have to press the shift + 2 (i think, or was it the 3 ?) key combination (upper number row). This should work.
