License transfer

Question

I had a computer from another manufacturer and recently I bought a Dell. On the old machine I had MS Office that came with the computer. When I try to reinstall Office from the originak disk to the Dell it asks for a CD Key. There is no CD key on the CD or case. It will not accept the Product ID. Is transfer possible? Nalshuan, An OEM copy of Office is licensed for use on only the computer with which it was sold.

No. OEM software is licensed to the computer it came with. What you are trying to do is a violation of the EULA (license agreement) of the software and is illegal.
