McAfee Virus Scan Installing Different Version
Hi,
I just received my new Dell XPS Laptop with McAfee virus scan 9 pre-installed.
I want to replace it with McAfee Vscan85-home-edition.
My question is: Should I just install the Vscan85-home-edition as it is from the same company or should I uninstall virus scan 9 first?
Thanks everyone :emotion-2:

That is an older edition, are you sure you want to install an old version? Is it even Vista compatible? If it was a paid for subscription, you should consider just "eating" whatever you paid for it and staying with the current Version 9.

When I bought my pc last year, McAfee came free for one year. I recently rebuilt my pc from scratch. My pc had a version of McAfee already on it but when i went to install my older version of mcAfee, it automatically said there was a newer version available and installed it. I don't think it matters which version you have. McAfee will automatically update you to the newer one. You might want to see if its for Vista though. I would think if it isn't, it won't load and will tell you its uncompatable
