Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Microsoft Word 2002 problem.
Hello,
I am having a problem with Microsoft Word 2002 Standard Edition. I had completed a document and was ready to save it, but when I clicked on the save button in the File menu, I received this error message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\WINWORD.EXE
abnormal program termination
I thought that if I reopened Word and clicked on the AutoRecover file that I would at least be able to salvage part of my document, but when I clicked on the file the same error message appeared.
I have Windows XP and have tried searching for and deleting normal.dot files, but it still doesn't work. I will note that this is not the first time I have received the error -- it has been happening a lot lately and I'm getting really frustrated. :smileysad:
Is there ANY way to get my document back without having to start over???
Thanks in advance

I had been through that before and tried almost everything listed -- The add-in thing was not a solution for me so I am not sure what to do next.
