microsoft word 2002, cannot move word art text

Question

When you use word art to do text, you can't get the 4-arrow curser to appear to move it,when you go to format for word art picture and text box tabs are grey and won't respond,, never had this problem w-97 ..

Insert a frame around it.

Right click on the WordArt objet, click Format WordArt; Layout tab, select any of the options other than in line with text. click OK. now you'll be able to put it where you like, rotate it, etc.
