waffle,

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.

Can you tell us exactly what happens when you try to print, what operating system you have, what printer you are using and what applications you can print from.

hello ...here is the info that you requested:

Windows XP, Home Edition version 2002, Service Pack 1

Printer- Epson Stylus C80

When I select print it gives me a little icon that show something going to the printer but then disappears and nothing happens. It's as if the message is not sent to the printer. As I said before it use to work ok. I have no other printing problems with any other applications.  I use the print preview and this doesn't even come up, that's what makes me think that it is not going any further than the Works Calender.

Thanks for your help!

Hi...I am having the same problem.  According to Microsoft support site, I downloaded and installed wkpr60.exe...but it didn't fix the problem.  I am using a Dimension 4100 with Windows ME.  Hewlett-Packard deskjet 930C printer.  Thanks for any help on this.

if no one can help solve the printing problem maybe someone can help me to back up info in works...most importantly Calendar. I have not tried to reload yet. How do I do this?

I would be hesitant to re-load works suite.  According to Microsoft, the problem has something to do w/ the fact that you (and I) are also using Explorer 6.0.  Apparently there is something that the Works Calendar doesn't like about 6.0.  I don't plan to go back to 5.5.  So I guess I am stuck w/ no printing of the calendar until someone comes up w/ "the answer"

When you install the file created by the wkpr60.exe, it installs in the works folder (I believe? It's been a while). You must, also, copy it into the Works "shared" folder.

This utility does fix the problem. There are many references to this in the MS forms as to exactly which folder to copy the file too. Sorry I'm not more specific, but I can't remember the exact instructions. I just know if you do it right, it works.

Hey...good work.  I found the wkpr60.dll in the Works program folder and copied it into the shared folder....it updated the old .dll file to the new one...and now I can print my calendar.    Thanks.  And Happy New Year.

COPY the wkpr60.dll file from the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works folder to C:\Program Files\Comman Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared Folder.

first -kudos to you for your patience with me!

The wkpr60.dll is not in my Works folder but it is in the Shared folder. Could that be the problem, should I copy it to the works folder?

Thanks for your help!!!

I'm no expert, I found this info else where and it worked for me. I am just passing it along. I understand that the wkpr60.dll should be in both folders for the calendar to print properly. I would think it wouldn't hurt to add it to the Works folder (it's in my Works folder. I just checked) If it causes a problem, you can alway remove it.

Sorry for the delay but a message of mine got lost...anyway I found the wkpr60.dll in the shared folder but not the microsoft works folder. Should I copy it to that folder from the shared folder, opposite to what you said? Sorry this is taking so long.

It must be in both folders. So, whichever one it is in, copy it to the other also.

When I went to check what was in my Microsoft shared/works-shared file, the works-shared rks shared file was completely empty.  Is it supposed to be this way?

I have windows 98 se, explorer 6  and HP Officjet model 710.

My calendar won't print out.  I downloaded the wkpr60  file at the  Microsoft site.  Then I put it in this otherwise empty folder.  Next,  I downloaded it again to put in Program  Files/Microsoft/Works/Calendar file, but that didn't solve the problem.

Is this because my Microsoft shared works file is empty?  If this is not supposed to be, how do I fix the situation

Thanks for your help.
