Hi aswin_ptn ,

Welcome to Dell Community.

To help you better i would need to know if MS office was purchased along with your Dell Inspiron N4110. If purchased along with the laptop you would find the Microsoft Identification product key which came along with the box.

However if MS Office says it to be a starter version, you will be able to download and install from https://smartsource.dell.com/

Please let us know if this help.

Thanks & Regards

The Starter Version does not need activation and it is not available from smartsource or Dell Downloads. To use the Starter software which contains only Word Starter and Excel Starter, you need to use the Microsoft Word Starter shortcut in the Programs menu instead of any of the Office shortcuts. The Office icon on the Desktop is for purchasing the full version. office.microsoft.com/.../introduction-to-word-starter-HA010385337.aspx

If you purchased Office you should have a Microsoft Product Identification Cards see here for details.

If it is the starter version it can be downloaded from here.

To see what version it is go to the start orb and then all programs then Microsoft Office or Microsoft Office (starter), select Word and then select help and it will tell you what version you have.

If you have lost your MPI card and have the full version then I recommend you to install and download Belarc Advisor. It will tell you your Office product key. The Windows key it gives will be a Dell SLP key so it best to take note of the one on the COA.
