Ms project file is damaged. How to recover?

I have a pretty big project plan laptop DELL,  I'm working on in 2013 for a few months. about a week ago, everything was fine. Now, when I was trying to open it .mpp from file Manager or" recently opened files", project (program) opens but does not open its own .mpp. When I try to just open the program, then manually going to the folder where mine is .the mpp is found and open it already this way, the project actually stops responding.

I can open a new empty project, everything works fine there, so I think my file has become corrupted. I've read a few things that could potentially help like restoring the project, restoring previous versions and removing all references / predecessors from the plan, but they don't help.
