MS Word
Hi, I'm not sure what has happen with my word, but when I use it , every time I press the space bar when typing in a document a period shows up instead of a space. Can anyone tell me whats going on & how I can fix it. I only use word every now and then, so I don't know a whole lot about the program. Thanks for the help.

It's probably showing you the formating. Is there a paragraph marker at the end, it looks like a reversed P? Look for the reversed P on the toolbar, that should toggle it on and off. Or go to Tools-Options and on the View tab (I use Word97 so it might be different in later versions) look for a section for nonprinting characters and uncheck the all box.

thanks, that solved my problem, I had to go into the option to fix it, not quite sure how this happened in the first place, but if it ever happens again I'll know how to fix it.
Thanks again
