Norton Ghost & Dell Utility

My computer is an : E510 w/ 250GB dual HDrives, DataSafe (Ghost 10) and I would very much like to set up the Ghost 10 program settings wizard the correct way. I have seen the pre-installed Ghost video and read the online Ghost manual, Dell infor. site etc.My problem is a lack of understanding the correct way to use  & set Ghost and it's Dell recovery program , and understanding some of the Dell tech terms.   Questions ?  1: What is the "Recovery point of the Dell Utility" & what is it used for  (is it the factory restore utility ) ?  Should it be set for auto backup or not at all and what is being  backed up ?  It displays  to" D:\ Norton Ghost Backup"  and will use  only about 4MB of space  per backup, so I  know  it's not an image of "C"  .  2: What is the "Recovery Point of C:\  " which also displays to "D:\ Norton Ghost Backup" and will use in 4 or 5 recovery points about 47GB of space on my 58GB  "D" part. of "C"  . 3: Also  is compression  good to use as I see Norton's recommendation is "Standard" setting and I understand compression will increase my advailable space but at what cost if any ?  4: And what is the safe & best number of "Recovery Point Sets" to save for each drive ?
