office SBE 2003 retail install

Question

I recently bought a retail version of Office SBE '03 to install on my Latitude and home Dimension desktop.  My question is, since the new activation process is so strict, do I have to install the software on my desktop before I install it on the laptop?  I know that I am allowed to install the retail, not the OEM, version on a desktop AND a laptop, but does it have to be done in any particular order?  I would be incredibly disappointed if I isntalled in the wrong order and had to buy ANOTHER copy of office. BTW, if anyone from Microsoft is reading this, the one computer restriction placed on the OEM version is a complete ripoff.  OEM should have the same portable provision as the retail versions. RLFIT,

I can find nothing in the Microsoft documentation online that specifies the order of installation of a retail copy of Office. It should not make a difference. If for some reason a problem arises, the steps in the "Resolution" section here can correct the problem.
