opening excel file without having microsoft office

Hi,
My situation is: My computer came with a trial version for Microsoft office, during that period I created and saved two excel files. The trial version expired about a month ago. I deleted the expired Microsoft office software from my computer. Today I tried to reference the two excel files and  I couldn't get them open. Is there a way to open them? Thanks!

Last time I looked, Microsoft had a free "excel viewer" that could be downloaded.  Check the Microsoft Office site.

You may also want to try the free open source program "Open Office".  It's pretty similar to MS Office, although not as "polished".  I've used it to open (and edit) a variety of MS Office files.
