Outlook Attachment Problems

Question

I have a Dimension 4700 with Office 2000 on it. Recently Outlook has not been opening attachments that include text and/or pictures. Pictures alone, I can open along with videos. I am running Windows XP. Recently I loaded the new Dell Support Center. Could this have a bearing on the problem. Thanks for any help that you can give me.

Look at your Security settings in Tools, Options, Security, Change Automatic Download Settings. Uncheck 'do not download html from the Internet...etc.'

Thanks, I have searched for something like that to no avail. In Outlook 2000, tools, options, security; the only options that I have are; secure e-mail, secure content, and ditital IDs (certificates). Any other suggestions?
