The outlook calendar recurrence problem suddenly happened to me after I had had my new dell with Office 2007 for about a month. Removal of outlookaddinsetup immediatly solved the problem. Thanks for this and similar posts nice to have friends who can solve these silly and very frustrating problems. I notice that this was a problem in Outlook 2003 shame they didn't solve the problem with the rewrite.
